Is het voor mensen zonder deze game het overwegen waard om GTA : Episodes From Liberty City – een retail game waar zowel The Ballad of Gay Tony als The Lost and Damned onderdeel van uitmaken – aan te schaffen? Total Video Games geeft de game de perfecte score van 100/100:

Momenteel heeft GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony op Metacritic een gemiddelde score van 91%, waarmee het een uitstekend beoordeelde game is. Het is de vraag of we hier net als bij GTA IV wederom te maken hebben met iets teveel hype, maar in ieder geval ziet het er wel naar uit dat als je GTA IV goed vond, The Ballad of Gay Tony je ook zeer zal bevallen.
